WHO WE ARE

Country-practice care in the city.

West End Animal Center grew from Dr. Frederick Frye's goal of making veterinary care feel more personal: modern medicine in a comfortable, quiet setting for animals and the people who care for them.

A PRACTICE WITH A PURPOSE

Twenty years in the making.

Dr. Frye's vision was a country veterinary feel in an urban environment.

West End Animal Center opened in June 2012 after years of planning and clinical work. The practice was designed to be welcoming and accessible in San Rafael, with a calmer atmosphere for both clients and pets.

The word nurture sits at the center of its mission. Dr. Frye wanted to offer current medical care while keeping the scale personal, so there is room for conversation, comfort and choice.

Graham Quigley.

MS · L.Ac · Acupuncturist

Graham offers acupuncture, Chinese herbology and acupressure at Holistic Animal Clinic, located within West End Animal Center. His approach begins with helping an animal feel comfortable enough to trust him; that relationship is part of the treatment.

He has studied Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine since 2000 and earned a master's in Traditional Chinese Medicine from ACCHS in Oakland. He also holds a psychology degree from Colby College. Graham has taught animal acupressure at the Acupressure Institute in Berkeley and Tui Na massage at the Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine College.

He encourages owners to learn acupressure techniques for their own animals, so they can take an active part in their care.
